If You Want Something Done...

Several weeks ago I was approached by a guy who said he enjoyed reading the “journal/blog-thingy” that I write for the website (I could tell right away, by his use of such technical terminology, that he must be very computer savvy…probably works in IT or something).  Anyway, he went on to say that, since I’ve been doing them for so long, they must “practically write themselves” by now.  I had never thought about it that way…but I figured he had a point as I politely agreed and shook his hand before we went our separate ways.  I immediately felt less stress…I thought; “Yeah, that guy is right…those things should write themselves by now.  Why should I be expending so much thought on these things?”  So, imagine my surprise when I checked the website a few weeks later only to find that they hadn’t written themselves at all…not once – Damn-it!!  Oh well, I guess that means I’m gonna have to pick the torch back up and run with it again.  Good thing Dave is still a Jerk or I’d be worried about runnin’ out of material.
