Hopefully everyone has begun to settle nicely into 2013. I can tell I have by the fact that, while at the bank on Wednesday afternoon, I got the date right on my deposit slip on the first try (last year I’m pretty sure I was still writing 2011 on stuff right up through Valentine’s Day)…that has got to be a sign of good things to come. Anyway, this is usually a time when I take the opportunity to look back at the year that has passed…but I’m not gonna do that this year. I just wanna look forward – besides, the best part of 2012 happened on the very last day…Andy Reid was relieved of his coaching duties here in Philadelphia. The only thing I have to say about that, other than “huh huh…I said duties”, is this; It was past due. He was a good coach…not a great one, as many of the national ass-kisses would have you believe, but a good one who had a lot of success in his first 7 years or so. But the magic has been gone for several years and it’s time for something new. Good luck to him in Kansas City though – 2013 is a fresh start all the way around and I’m gonna try to have an optimistic and positive outlook. I’m expecting continued success and happiness for DDS and all of our family and friends…and hope for the same for all of our fans (and even people who hate us). I’m also expecting Hockey to come back, The Phillies to become a contender again, The Eagles to hire the right man to re-build the franchise, and the Sixers…well…we’ll see. As Ron White might say…”It’s gonna be a good year Tater”.
