The Halloween season has officially kicked off…and as my annual tradition dictates, it was time to “haunt-up” the house on October 1st (which was yesterday…for those of you who don’t own a calendar). Unlike previous years, I’m gonna wait about 2 weeks before I actually begin construction of the cemetery in the front yard. The neighbors are probably already wondering where the hell it is though, since it’s already October 2nd and nary a tombstone has been placed…but I decided that, by the time October 31st rolls around, the grass will need cutting, at least one more time, AND an S-ton of leaves will be plotting their decent onto the ground in the area where the grave yard will eventually sit – so I decided to be smart(er) this year and wait. However, the house itself is mostly done…and I also got the lighting for the “haunted path”, leading to the back yard, completed (the actual “haunted” part of the path will get done the week-of the big night). So, I’m actually right on schedule…and it’s a good thing too ‘cuz we are MAD BUSY this month!! Unfortunately, most of the shows in the very beginning of the month are not open to the public – Friday we’re flying to Georgia to play a wedding on Saturday…and 3 of the next 4 shows after that consist of a private event and 2 weddings (which, I guess, would also be classified as private events…but, whatever) – the exception being this Sunday at Harrah’s in AC…that one is, not only open to all, but will also be repeated every Sunday throughout the entire month…so try and make it out to one (or more) if you can. If not, don’t sweat it…there are a lot of shows to choose from in the up coming weeks. Anyway, that’s all I got for now but, rest assured, Dave is still a jerk and Ducky is still forgetful (in fact, ask him where his keys are when next you see him…it’ll be funny)…etc…etc.
